Rumble on the Rock

Rumble on the Rock is a series of mixed martial arts events held in Hawaii by Rumble World Entertainment. This promotion, started in 2002, is known best for featuring a lightweight superfight between top-ranked lightweights B.J. Penn and Takanori Gomi, both of whom went on to capture championships with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and PRIDE Fighting Championships respectively.

Rumble World Entertainment is headed by J.D. Penn, brother of legendary fighter B.J. Penn. [1] The company joined the World Wide Cage Network of promotions in October, 2006. [2]

The current Rumble on the Rock 175 lb. World Champion is American fighter Jake Shields.
