Rui Manuel Marques (born 3 September 1977) is an Angolan footballer player from Luanda, Angola but he moved to Portugal as a child.

Rui Marques currently plays for Leeds United as a defender. He is known for his fast paced sprints and counter attacks. Rui Marques began professionly in Germany's SSV Ulm 1846 in the 1999-2000 season but then moved to Herta Berlin in Berlin, Germany's capital and one of their top clubs.

Rui Marques then moved to VfB Stuttgart where he played four seasons at the German club. In the 2004-05 season he moved to CS Marítimo of Madeira, Portugal. In the 2005-06 season Marques moved to Leeds United in England. He hasn't managed to break through into the fist team yet and at the end of 2005-06 he went to Hull City on loan. He is now back at Leeds United following the end of his loan contract.
