[edit] Style of Page
Perhaps for the general style of the article we should use something based on International_cricket_in_2005-06, but for games that don't have a subpage that goes into detail about them a blue game summary box could be used. The World Club Challenge box already uses a template from Football World Cup 1998 so perhaps a trend could be followed with that? mdmanser 13:23, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have used the same "blue box" format for the Charity Shield match. This is a notable trial match, and is given more weight than other trials, so it deserves its own box. (Besides which, I'm finding it hard to come across other trial info lol)
- St George Illawarra is also promoting their remaining trial match as being an annual event "The Illawarra Mercury Challenge", so this perhaps deserves its own blue box as well.
- Just explaining the reasoning behind what I've done :) Gonzerelli 13:33, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Layout of page
Just to go a little further... I've reorganised the page slightly, clearly placing trial matches separate to regular season matches. Gonzerelli 13:33, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Challenge Cup
I decided to add this competition as well. Tim Fellows 12:00, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] XXXX Test or no Test
I have reverted this for the moment, and here is why:
- despite the story that appeared in NZ saying that it wasn't a test, the NZRL site still has it offically listed as a test in the most prominent spot on the website. Furthermore, the article may have been refering to comments made before that clarification was issued. As the NZRL is a more trusted source, I will err on the side of caution
- other media reports in the UK (eg [http://www.sportinglife.com/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=rleague/06/05/21/RUGBYL_Morley.html "MORLEY SET TO MISS KIWI TEST") are sill calling it a Test
- the ticket seller is still calling it a test ("XXXX Test Between Great Britain & New Zealand")
Therefore, until I see something more official, I am going to leave this as a Test at the moment. The comment next to this match does note the media speculation that it will not be a Test, however.--dan, dan and dan 20:45, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
This match has been confirmed as a Test. See "KIWIS GET CAPS FOR XXXX TEST"--dan, dan and dan 07:36, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
