Rudy Sarzo

Rudy Sarzo (born 1950) is a bassist who has played with Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Manic Eden, Dio, etc. Rudy was born in Cuba and left Cuba in 1961. He is currently playing with Dio. Rudy is an avid computer digital animator. He recently created the concert 3D animated open for the video wall during the last Dio european tour. When not touring or recording with Dio, he is a 3D technical director and co-executive producer at Ocean Visual FX in Southern California.

In the 1983 U.S. Festival, Quiet Riot performed two songs from their "Metal Health" album. During the middle part of the song "Bang Your Head", Sarzo played the bass guitar with his right hand upside down. He plucked the strings from the bottom side of the bass guitar .

Sarzo has been stated as saying he was very pleased to be able to say he has played with Ozzy Osbourne as before his own success he was a big fan of Osbourne's band Black Sabbath.

Rudy joined the metal band Dio in 2004 and has been there ever since.
