Ruby empire

The Ruby empire is the ancient dynasty of humans from earth that were moved by an unknown interstellar race to Raylicon in the Saga of the Skolian Empire books by Catherine Asaro.
The dawn of the Ruby empire was marked by the first space flights they took around 5000 years ago. However, their empire collapsed a few hundred years later, stranding colonies across the galaxy in isolation for thousand of years. The Raylicans regained space flight around 150 years ago, marking the founding of the Ruby Dynasty.
