Rubus deliciosus is a deciduous shrub native to the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Wyoming. Inhabits scrub and rocky slopes.

Shrub to 3 m with arching stems. Levaes unlobed or with rounded lobes, becoming glabrous beneath. Flowers 3,5-6 in diameter, fragrant. Fruit dark red, to 1,5 cm in diameter. The fruit is rather dry and not highly valued, but the flavour is delicious.

Requires well drained soil in full sun. Hardy to USDA zone 5 (-20°C). The flowering stems die back after fruiting and sould be cut back. Best proagated by cuttings in July-August.
