Ruben Rausing

Ruben Rausing (1895 - 1983) was the co-founder of the liquid food packaging company Tetra Pak. He was born in Raus, near Helsingborg, Sweden.

He studied at the Stockholm School of Economics and Business Administration. In 1919, he set off for a course of advanced study at Columbia University

After being back in Sweden in 1929, he set up a company named Åkerlund & Rausing. The tetrahedron liquid packaging was patented on March 27, 1944; which later became Tetra Pak.
The company was inherited by his children Hans Rausing and Gad Rausing.
