RTVi and its Russian subsidiary, Echo TV, is staffed by many former NTV journalists, such as Andrei Norkin, Vladimir Kara-Murza and Victor Shenderovich. In 2004 RTVi also began broadcasting over the Internet, so that its programs can be seen inside Russia.
