[edit] RSA challenge numbers

Matt, Regarding your edit note, I think the answer is yes. The topic is interesting, of crytanalytic (and mathematical and computational) interest and if covered well, perhaps too much to include in RSA. I doubt there is need for separate articles on each of the numbers, however. Does this give an answer to the question you posed?

Ah, the question was rather about a Category:Cryptographic challenges, not about articles on individual numbers. There might be a case for merging all the RSA-xxx articles, though, into RSA numbers.

Indeed, there might be reason (cryptanalytic mostly) to have an article on 'cracking projects' (this, MD5, Squeamish Ossifrage, ...). What think you? Anyone else? ww 14:51, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Perhaps; alternatively, putting sections in brute force attack and/or distributed computing might also suffice. — Matt 19:47, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
