Royal Whip Stakes

The Royal Whip Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs (2,012 metres) at the Curragh in August.

The race has been classed as a Group 2 since 1998, before which it was a Group 3. The race distance prior to 1995 was 1 mile 4 furlongs (2,414 metres).
