[edit] Trivia

  • This was the first Royal Rumble to have 90 second entrance intervals rather than the traditional 2 minute intervals. It was announced by commentator Vince McMahon that WWF President Jack Tunney reduced the interval times for timing constraints. The following year would go one step further and reduce the time intervals to only a minute each.
  • A similar situation to this Royal Rumbles ending happened at the 2005 event when the final two participants (Batista and John Cena) fell out of the ring at the same time. However, unlike the 1994 event they were not declared co-winners, instead the match was restarted with just the final two participants. It should also be noted that the ending of the 2005 match was botched, unlike the 1994 match which was booked to end this way.
  • Ludvig Borga was scheduled to be Tatanka's opponent (as well as compete in the Rumble match), but was unable to due to (legit) injury.
