The Royal Irish Yacht Club is located in Dún Laoghaire Harbour, County Dublin Ireland. The club was founded in 1831, with the Marquis of Anglesey, who commanded the cavalry at the Battle of Waterloo being its first Commodore. John Skipton Mulvany designed the clubhouse and still retains a number of original architectural features. The world's oldest yacht club is the Royal Cork Yacht Club.
