The Royal High Court of Bhutan is apex court of Bhutan. Judges of the court are appointed by the monarch. The Royal High Court also has original jurisdiction over the twenty districts of the nation. Bhutan's legal system is based on the Indian law and the English common law. It is based in the capital Thimphu. The king is the final court of appeals though.
