There are two underground levels of retail stores, including a food court. The building also has direct access to the Burrard SkyTrain subway station. Royal Centre also had a 10-screen Cineplex Odeon theatre in the mall's lower retail level, which opened in 1981 and was closed and renovated in 1993 when the Royal Bank required additional space for its operations.
