Rovaniemi Airport (Rovaniemen lentoasema in Finnish) (IATA: RVN, ICAO: EFRO) is a small international airport located about 10 kilometres north from the city of Rovaniemi in the Finnish province of Lapland. Airport is located at the Arctic circle only a couple kilometres away from famous Santa Claus Village and Santapark. In 2005, the airport served over 385,000 passengers.
In addition to civil traffic the runway is also used by F-18 fighter interceptors of Lapin lennosto (Lapland Air Command). Also Rovaniemen vartiolentue (Air unit of the Frontier guard of Lapland) is located nearby.
The Artic Circle crosses the runways exactly where the two runways cross each other.
