[edit] Images of Oklahoma Governors

The images you have uploaded of Oklahoma governors cannot be tagged as CopyrightFreeUse or GFDL. The images are copyright by the State of Oklahoma unless you can prove otherwise. Please re-tag as fair use images and only use in articles where the images would qualify as fair use or the images will probably be deleted. All fair use images on your User Page need to be removed as this is a copyright violation -Thanks -Nv8200p talk 18:42, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Hmm, saw this note about the copyright tags. Would something along the lines of {{ULL.CLS}} be more appropriate, based on the "Publication Rights" section of the Oaklhoma Department of Libraries webpage? -- MrDolomite | Talk 19:32, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

My above comments are not quite right. Any pre-1923 images should be marked {{tl:PD-US}}. Other should be tagged fair use. The image copyright is not necessarily owned by the state of Oklahoma, just the physical item is. -Nv8200p talk 14:30, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't think the tag is quite right but it is better then claiming Free Use or GFDL. Over time the images will probably migrate to more correct tags but it is good enough for now. -Thanks Nv8200p talk 20:31, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

I noticed in the "Images Uploaded" section of your UserPage that you uploaded photos of Oklahoma Governors Dewey F. Bartlett, David Hall, and George Nigh. I have "Photo Requests" pending on all three articles, and was wondering if you would be willing to add photos to those articles. Random image led me to one of the fair use images on your userpage. Wikipedia:Fair use criteria doesn't permit fair use images outside the article space to be displayed inline, so I converted the fair use ones to links. Kevin_b_er 00:22, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I noticed in the article you created on Howard Barnett, you stated that his 2006 primary opponent, Dan Keating is not related to former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating. In the future though, could you please add a descriptive edit summary, especially when your change affects so many lines as to make the diff appear huge?
