Round Tower Lodge, Sandiway

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Round Tower Lodge is situated in the central reservation of the A556 in Sandiway, Cheshire.

The lodge was built in 1816 as a gate house to the Vale Royal estate, now a golf course and previously an abbey.

The building became stranded in the central reservation when the A556 became a dual carriageway in the 1930's.
