Rotting Piñata (1994) |
Wax Ecstatic (1996) |
Rotting Piñata is the debut album by the band Sponge, released in 1994 on Sony Records. Hit singles from this album, such as "Molly (Sixteen Candles)" and "Plowed", helped launch the band's career. The name of the album comes from Vinnie Dombrowski. He said that he would commit suicide while the band was on tour. The band joked that if he did, they would display his corpse as a "rotting piñata".
