Rotting Flesh Radio
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rotting Flesh Radio debuted on October 7, 2005 as the haunt industry's first podcast. The weekly 80 minute show talks about the haunt industry, horror henre and music. It's resources lend it to be a conduit of information.
In 2006 it covered the Transworld's International Halloween, Costume and Party Show for 3 days in March, as well as covering the Midwest Haunters Convention. It will cover both of these events again for 2007. It also had remote coverage and press junkit interviews via phone and web cam at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors in 2006, and the Horrorfind Weekend in 2006.
It is hosted and created by Jonathan and a mysterious "Mortician." The show has other personalities as well: the dry humored "Doctor and Nurse Raven," who do a DVD review from what they call, "The DVD Dungeon"; Haunted and Einstein in a segment called "Haunted Einstein's Theories of Evilution,"; and Geoff Beck and "Arachnid's Obituary of Acting." Fans of the show are called "Deadites".
Rotting Flesh Radio's signature blurb is "Sit Back, Relax and Rot Away..." and is true to its morbid sense of humor. The main feature each week is "The Horror and Haunt Industry News". They cover news, conventions, tadeshows, interviews, current events, haunted attractions, seminars, acting troupes and many other topics important to the haunt industry.
[edit] Show style
Rotting Flesh Radio uses dark humor for its segments. In keeping with the classic B-horror movie late night hosts, it combines modern horror character with classic characters like Dravula, it has its own mix of modern horror, mixed with the nostalgia of classic Universal Monsters.
