Ros, g. rois, ruis, -a, pl. id., and -anna, m., a wood or copse (r. f oḋḃaiḋe id., Sup.), oft. the site of an old cemetery ; a point, promontory, bluff or isthmus (r. uisce, id., Sup.) ; a level tract of arable land.
