Rosslyn Castle

Rosslyn Castle is on the banks of the North Esk ½mile southeast of the village of Roslin in the Scottish area of Midlothian.

Rosslyn Castle was built in the 1300s for Henry St. Clair (or Sinclair), Earl of Orkney. The castle was damaged by fire in 1447, and by sieges in 1544 and 1650. Nonetheless part is habitable and can be rented by way of the Landmark Trust.
