Ross Greenwood (born November 1, 1985 in York) is an English footballer , who currently plays in midfield for York City.

Greenwood started his football career at Manchester United in 2002. But he moved to Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer in 2004, still a teenager at the time, he made only two appearances for the Owls. He then moved to Stockport County for the 2005-06 season, appearing for the club 25 (22 times in the league), while with the club he played in defence although he is normally a midfield player.

A move back to Yorkshire and his hometown came in 2006 as he was signed to Conference National side York City.
