Rosarno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Calabria in the Italian region Calabria, located about 70 km southwest of Catanzaro and about 50 km northeast of Reggio Calabria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 15,155 and an area of 39.5 km2.[1] Within the borders of Rosarno is the site of the ancient city of Medma.

The municipality of Rosarno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bosco, Zimbario, Crofala, Scattarreggio, and Testa dell'acqua.

Rosarno borders the following municipalities: Candidoni, Cittanova, Feroleto della Chiesa, Gioia Tauro, Laureana di Borrello, Melicucco, Nicotera, Rizziconi, San Ferdinando.
