[edit] The office rat
Roz, as Rosalind is better known, was the Senior Administrative Assistant at Consolidated Companies. That was her official title, but some of the workers knew her better as the office spy, or rat, or tattletale (All three epithets fit her perfectly). She was officed on the floor of Vice President Franklin Hart, Jr since he appreciated how she cracked down on the workers. He considered her his own secret police.
She was always handing out memos which outlined her boss' draconian ruling style. She hated unionization, and as such fired Judy Bernly's friend, Maria Delgado for that infraction.
Roz has a businesslike and professional respect for Violet Newstead but she knows Violet doesn't trust her. Usually, her memos to Violet either wind up in the trash or torn up, showing that Roz is indeed not to be trusted.
Roz concedes Doralee Rhodes as a necessity for Hart, but sometimes, she feels that Hart doesn't respect her anymore than he respects other women. In that respect, she is like any other woman.
As his principal, and some would say, his only female ally, Roz often reports infractions (usually by hiding in one of the stalls in the ladies room and taking notes on toilet paper) and in this manner, helped spur on the insanity which led to Violet, Judy and Doralee to tie up Hart. Seeing Roz as a threat, they ship her off to a language center in France, using Hart's name, and she is in the air.
Once she is out of the way, they begin a full scale redoux of the office, giving it much needed personalization and warmth, amidst a still strong office schedule that would have made Roz proud.
Roz returned from France and upon seeing her new bosses, Violet, Judy and Doralee (Hart had been reassigned to Brazil) her only reply was "Holy Merde!"
