Rosalie von Rauch

The Countess Rosalie von Rauch (1820 - 1879) was the only daughter of General Gustav von Rauch. On the 31st of June 1850 she married Prince Albert of Prussia, son of King Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia. Under this wedlock, the birth of Wilhelm and Friedrich came to be.
Her marriage to the Royal house of Prussia allowed her house (the noble house von Rauch) to be elevated to a Barony. After the death of her husband she was created Countess von Hohenau. She is regarded as the patroness of House Rauch. All women of her line are given the name Rosalie as a Christian name in honour of the Countess.
