Roque González Garza (1885—1962) was acting President of Mexico from January to June 1915.
He was born in Saltillo, Coahuila. From 1908 he appeared in the politics as an adversary of the Government of Porfirio Diaz. He was one of the first propagandist ones of Madero, who accompanied him in his presidential campaign. When Madero assumed the government, González Heron was his personal assistant and appeared in his General Staff. When Madero and Pino Suárez died, he went to the North, joining to the forces of Francisco Villa. He reached the degree of general and he attended to the most important combats of the revolution, mainly against the regime of Huerta.
In the Convention of Aguascalientes, he was one of the most outstanding figures in that assembly. he occupied the position of President of the Republic, in opposition to the group that respect to the Constitution, on January 16, 1915 from June 11 of the same year. The victory of the Constitution forced to him went into exile, in where he remained several years. He returned to the country when Venustiano Carranza died. Years later he collaborated in the administration of General Avila Camacho. He was coauthor of the book La Batalla de Torreón, Apuntes para la Historia.
