Ronnie L. White

Ronnie L. White is a Judge of the Supreme Court of Missouri. He was appointed to the Court in 1995, and served as the state's first African-American Chief Justice, from 2003 to 2005.

Ronnie White was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1953. His educational background includes graduation from St. Louis Community College and St. Louis University. He earned a law degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. From 1993 to 1994, he served on the St. Louis City Council. From 1994 to 1995, he served as a Judge for the Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals.

In 1997, his nomination for a federal district court seat was blocked by then-U.S. Senator John Ashcroft.
