Ronnie Baxter

Ronnie Baxter (born May 2, 1961 in Blackpool, Lancashire) is an English darts player. Nicknamed "The Rocket", Baxter is well known to legions of darts fans for his trademark, robotic throwing action.

One of the top players to grace the world stage since the mid 1990s, he reached the final of the Embassy World Professional Darts Championship on two occasions, in 1999 and 2000 respectively.

In 2002, he "defected" from the British Darts Organisation to rival governing body, the Professional Darts Corporation and now features in televised tournaments seen mainly on Sky Sports, appearing in the Premier League in 2006.

Originally from Church in Lancashire, he currently resides in Swindon, Wiltshire.
