Roncoferraro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 140 km southeast of Milan and about 11 km southeast of Mantua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,867 and an area of 63.4 km2.[1]
The municipality of Roncoferraro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Governolo, Casale, Nosedole, Barbasso, Barbassolo, Villa Garibaldi, Garolda, Pontemerlano, Castelletto Borgo, and Cadè.
Roncoferraro borders the following municipalities: Bagnolo San Vito, Bigarello, Castel d'Ario, Mantua, San Giorgio di Mantova, Sustinente, Villimpenta.
