Ronald F. Maxwell

Ronald F. Maxwell (b. 1947) is an independent film director and writer. He is most famous for directing the American Civil War epics Gettysburg (1993) and Gods and Generals (2003). A New Jersey native, Maxwell graduated from New York University (NYU) Institute of Film in the late 1960s and is a member of the Writers Guild of America, Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
