The Bachelor is a television show that appears on ABC. The show airs on Mondays at 9pm eastern/8pm central. The show allows one man to date 25 women in hopes of finding true love and romance. The Bachelor will date and learn about 25 different women by going on group dates as well as single dates. The program is a roller coaster ride of emotions for both the Bachelor and the women. The Bachelor gives a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of each person involved in this unique dating process. At the end of the show, the bachelor will have to pick one lady to be his future wife.
About Prince Lorenzo: According to the ABC official website, Prince Lorenzo Borghese is a 34 year old American citizen. He was born in Milan; however he lived in Rome and outside Paris. When he was five years old he moved to Connecticut. He has currently lived in Manhattan since 1997, and he is a cosmetics entrepreneur. He is the last in his family yet to get married, which subsequently put him on The Bachelor Rome, on a search to find a candidate to be his future wife.
The Elimination Process: According to the summary on ABC.com, each new Bachelor episode contains a rose ceremony where at least one or more contestants are eliminated. Eliminations are based upon date performance, which is how the ladies relate to Lorenzo on the dates. Lorenzo must follow a process of elimination where his bachelorettes are narrowed down week to week by presenting the women he wishes to keep with a single, rose. The catch to the show is that at any point during the process if a woman decided she is no longer interested in Lorenzo, although he may still be interested in her, she may leave. For some of the women on the show, Lorenzo will visit their hometowns and they in turn will meet Lorenzo’s family. In the end the bachelor will be down to one lady, the lady whom Lorenzo picks for himself.
Episode 1: The girls pull up in a limo as Lorenzo greets each one with a smile. The girls and Lorenzo talk all night and the show ends with a rose ceremony where Lorenzo sends home over half of the ladies.
Episode 2: The remaining 12 women are divided up into single and group dates. Lisa received the first single date with Lorenzo. The other girls go on a group date with Lorenzo. The show ends with a rose ceremony and 3 girls are eliminated.
Episode 3: The nine remaining Bachelorettes find out there's going to be a group date, a two-on-one date and a solo date with Lorenzo. Three ladies are eliminated at the rose ceremony.
Episode 4: There is one group date and two one-on-one dates in this episode. The women who get roses this week will also get a hometown visit to have Lorenzo meet their parents. Two ladies are eliminated at the rose ceremony.
Episode 5: Lorenzo proceeds to on the hometown dates with the bachelorettes. He meets the girl’s families. Lorenzo eliminates one girl at the rose ceremony which leaves him with three girls for the remaining shows.
