Talk:Romulan Ale

I think the quotes should be removed. They don't really add to the article, they are often redundant, and it looks crufty. ReverendG 17:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Legality
So was Romulan Ale illegal for health reasons (like heroin) for political reasons (like cuban cigars) or for no good reason whatsoever (like cannabis)? 204.69.40.7 14:18, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Romulan Ale is available for purchase at the shops near Quark's Bar And Restraunt at the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton Las Vegas. Someone should mention about that. --Ramfan2772 08:41, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- I just added it, because a friend went to Vegas and brought back a bottle, which I consumed last night. So I added it here, along with a couple of recipes for the "homemade" kind (mostly involving Blue Curacao). I then went over to Memory Alpha's talk page for Romulan ale and discovered the following from 84.231.39.223:
- The article about "real" Romulan ale on Wikipedia is currently nominated for deletion and will probably be deleted. I've already removed mentions of "real" Romulan ale from Wikipedia's Romulan ale article. From what I've seen, Memory Alpha differs from Wikipedia in that while Wikipedia sees Star Trek from the real world's point of view, Memory Alpha sees it from Star Trek's own point of view. But I'm still unsure about this "real" Romulan ale. Should I remove mentions of it from here too?
- I find it absurd that someone would remove the mention from this article, and I have no idea what this person thought they were doing by doing so. It doesn't deserve its own article here at Wikipedia, so I agree with the nomination for deletion, but it certainly DOES belong in this article. I'm not sure what 84.231.39.223 was going on about, but I hope the bit I've added remains as it definitely belongs. -Etoile 16:45, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Do we ever see any actual Romulans drinking Romulan ale? If we do, do they get totally schnockered like humans do on it? Or is Romulan ale the French toast of Star Trek, having no more to do with Romulans than the fried bread has to do with France? - El charangista 01:36, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
