Romanism (painting)

In the late 15th and early 16th century, a group of painters from the Netherlands began to visit Italy and started to incorporate Renaissance influences in their work. Their style was named Romanism. The greatest artist was Jan Mabuse.^[1] The influence of Michelangelo and Raphael showed in the use of mythology and nudity in the paintings. ^[2]
