The Roland SCC-1 (Sound Canvas Card 1) combines the MPU-401 MIDI interface with the General MIDI-compatible Roland SC-55 sound source on an 8-bit ISA bus expansion card. Two variants exist:

  • SCC-1: Based on the original Roland SC-55, offering 317 instruments.
  • SCC-1B: Based on the improved Roland SC-55 mkII, offering 354 instruments. Also comes bundled with the Band-in-a-Box and BalladeGS software.
