This isn't supposed to be a disambiguation page. It is a page detailing a name, unless you can find other Rohits? Эйрон Кинни (t) 07:18, 2 March 2006 (UTC)


Whatever is written in this article is actually what you will find in India. The names have different meanings, history behind it...So yes, like there are many Johns/Michaels etc in US, where, John/Michael etc have no particular meaning, there are many Rohits/Rahuls and what nots in India and other countries. I think its just an excellent effort to outline/summarise all the possible meanings of this name, "Rohit".

The vowel sound "i" was moved to be before the "h," (and therefore attached to it) so that the name reads Rohit rather than Rohati
