ROHM Co., Ltd. (ローム, Rōmu) is a Japanese electronic parts supplier in Kyoto.
ROHM was established by Kenichiro Sato (佐藤 研一郎) on September 17, 1958. Sato has been president of ROHM from its founding.
When ROHM was established, resistors were its main product. Later, the company began manufacturing semiconductors. IC's and discrete semiconductors now account for about 80% of ROHM's revenue.
ROHM is among the Worldwide Top 20 Semiconductor Sales Leaders.
Rohm is also the name of a manufacturer of firearms sometimes known as "RG". John Hinckley, Jr. used a Rohm RG-14 revolver in his attempt to assassinate Ronald Reagan.
