[edit] Roger Meyers, Jr.
Roger Meyers, Jr. is a fictional character on the television series The Simpsons, voiced by Alex Rocco and Hank Azaria. His name has been spelled as Meyers and Myers. In some episodes, like Itchy & Scratchy & Marge, both forms appear.
He is the CEO of Itchy and Scratchy International, and is the son of Roger Meyers, Sr. He distributes the cartoon, which is frequently criticised by parents because of its violent nature.
He is a jaded and selfish businessman who has nothing but contempt for the children who comprise his audience. In the episode where Itchy and Scratchy International is bankrupted following their trial against Chester J. Lampwick, when Bart and Lisa are too late in providing information that could save the company, he tells them condescendingly, "Great, mail it to last week when I might have cared. I've got cartoons to make."
He also possesses an extremely obnoxious personality, where he only cares about people who can help him. This is displayed in his contempt for the writers of Itchy and Scratchy when Abe Simpson becomes the flavour of the month. And again when holding auditions for the voice of Poochie. After first hiring Otto Man, he then chooses Troy McClure, telling Otto "take a hike you bum", when seconds earlier he was "perfect".
In The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show, he creates Poochie in an attempt to bring the show's ratings back up. Homer is asked to voice Poochie, and does so. The show's ratings plummet, and Poochie is despised. He is nearly killed off in the next episode (after only one appearance), but ends up being dubbed over to have returned to his own planet (and died on the way).

- Lionel Hutz: Are you saying, under oath, that your father didn't steal Itchy?
Meyers: I don't think I am under oath, but yes. My father created them all. Except for Flatulent Fox, that was based on a true story.

Roger Meyers, Sr. (or Roger Myers, Sr.) is a fictional character in The Simpsons, renowned for 'creating' the popular cartoon characters Itchy and Scratchy, although he actually stole them from their real creator, Chester J. Lampwick. His voice has never been heard and he has only been seen in video footage.
Roger Meyers, Sr., was an anti-Semite, and produced a cartoon propaganda film called Nazi Supermen Are Our Superiors in 1938. This is naturally glossed over by Itchy and Scratchy Studios, currently run by his son Roger Meyers, Jr. This is a possible reference to Walt Disney, who was also rumored to be anti-Semitic as well as a Nazi sympathiser.
Another reference to Walt Disney, is that Roger Myers Sr. had his head frozen. This is based upon the urban legend that Walt Disney was cryogenically frozen, although he never was.
The name Roger Meyers may have been a combination of famed movie shlock producer Roger Corman and famed movie soft porn producer Russ Meyer.
