Roger Jurey

Roger Jurey (born 1891- died March 4th 1932) was a music hall star. He was born Robert Jouren in Marseilles, France and later moved to London, where he would become a popular vaudeville star, creating such hits as King of All Man, I like eating Potatoes in the morning and The Housebreaker. He is sometimes (incorrectly) credited with writing The House of the Rising Sun.

On March 4th 1932 Jurey went out for a drive in his newly acquired automobile. He crashed it into a ravine and died on the scene.
