Roger Boas was a candidate for mayor of San Francisco in 1988 who was brought down by his alleged patronage of underage prostitutes. According to the San Francisco Chronicle:
"Campaign posters of Boas dotted the city, and a prostitute recognized the face of a man who had been soliciting the ring for three years."[1]
