I like Rodney & all, but if his radio show started in '76, he could hardly have been the first (even first in town) to play David Bowie, who was quite an established star by then. Or at least, if he did so, it wasn't on that show. - Jmabel | Talk 22:14, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

He appears in the movie Back to the Beach, and supposedly played a role in catalyzing that movie by playing a lot of Annette Funicello records on his show in the 1980s (especially a record "Jamaica Ska" which Annette didn't even remember having ever sung). 01:03, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
