Rod Pead

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rod Pead is an Australian Catholic author and editor.

He currently resides in the United Kingdom and is the current editor of the traditionalist Catholic publication Christian Order. He sometimes uses the pseudonym Michael McGrade.

Pead is a controversial figure, who writes in a very abrasive style and frequently criticizes the hierarchy of the Catholic Church, who he sees as failing in their duty. As a result, he has incurred the wrath of some of the bishops he has attacked. [1] At a conservative Catholic conference in London, he described the bishops of England and Wales as "hirelings", "a disgrace" and urged people to pray for God to take them to "their early reward". When challenged about such comments, he said he was being too kind. [2]
