Dj Rocktonik (thought to be born in the late 70's in Chicago, IL) is an American born mix DJ & radio/TV executive currently working as program director for WRTE FM and in a capacity with Clearchannel radio. Thought to be of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent he has made a name for himself in Chicago radio , particularly on the public medium having been on multiple public stations WCRX, WHPK, WIIT, WRTE and he has worked in some capacity for Hispanic Broadcasting corporation, Big City Radio Viva 103.1 FM, and most recently as head sports producer for Univision affiliate WGBO TV. Aside from his radio duties he also is a known club disc jockey and currently develops a weekly mix show from Chicago on weekends. The origins of the name Rocktonik remain unknown but recently he has been dubbed "rock" or "the rock" possibly as a play on the wrestler the rock.
