Rochelle Pangilinan

Rochelle Pangilinan born May 23, 1982 is a Filipina dancer, singer, and actress. She was one of the famous dancers in Philippines, and the leader of SexBomb Girls. She can be seen in Daisy Siete where she is the main protagonist, it is aired weekdays on GMA Network.

[edit] Personal background
Rochelle was born in Malabon, Philippines. She has two siblings. During her childhood, her family is poor, her father was an alcoholic, her father usually beats her mother while he's drunk, her parents then separated. In 2002, Rochelle's parents were together again, also her father stopped his bad habits.
[edit] Dancing career
Rochelle started to join dancing contest when she was a kid, and one day at the competition Joy Cancio offered Rochelle a job at Eat Bulaga. Rochelle was only 14 when she started to dance on Eat Bulaga. Then in 1999 a unnamed group was formed by the network, one of them is Rochelle. They were background dancers for Eat Bulaga. After sometime, the other three left the group. But Joy Cancio recruited more dancers. The group began in November 1999 as the 'Chicken Sandwich Dancers' which was an offshoot of the Danz Focus (house dancers of Eat Bulaga). At first there were 4 (Cheryl, Debra, Janine and Rochelle). The group expanded to 6 with the addition of Jopay and Aira. The group expanded to 8, 12 and 13 (during their first FHM Philippines appearance) to an all time high of 22.
In 2000 Tom Jones song "Sexbomb" was a hit in the Philippines at that time, so the group then was named the SexBomb Dancers which was managed by Joy Cancio.

In 2002, The singing group SexBomb Girls was formed. It includes Jopay Paguia, Evette Pabalan, Weng Ibarra, Monic Icban, Izzy Trazona, and Rochelle herself. It was the same year they release there first album Unang Putok with the hit single "Bakit Papa". Thus far, they made three more albums.

In 2002 the SexBomb Girls finally had their first movie Bakit Papa where they co-stars with Allan K., Wendell Ramos, Epi Quizon, Chynna Ortaleza, and Richard Gutierrez.In that same year, Rochelle also got her first movie without her group, the movie was Bertud ng Putik she was the leading lady of Bong Revilla, and Rival to Regine Tolentino's role. Also she was a regular cast on Daboy en Da Girl in GMA KiliTV.
In 2003 The SexBomb Girls also got their own top-rating afternoon drama series Daisy Siete, where Rochelle is the main character. It is aired on GMA Network, reaching its 12th. season.
In around 2004, Rochelle made an appearance on Home Along Da Airport which is a show on ABS-CBN, a GMA Network rival, starred by "The King of Comedy" Dolphy. After her appearance in the rival network , there was rumors that she'll switch channels but she stated that she's not leaving in GMA Network
In 2005 Rochelle also made an appearance on Mars Ravelo's Darna where she portratyed the role of a mermaid named Corella, Darna's ally in the series.
