Roccastrada is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Grosseto in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 90 km south of Florence and about 25 km north of Grosseto. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 9,302 and an area of 284.8 km2.[1]
The municipality of Roccastrada contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sticciano, Ribolla, Montemassi, Roccatederighi, Sassofortino, Torniella, and Piloni.
Roccastrada borders the following municipalities: Campagnatico, Chiusdino, Civitella Paganico, Gavorrano, Grosseto, Massa Marittima, Monticiano, Montieri.
