[edit] Aussie political userboxes

Hi, you changes the ID boxes in the Australian Political userboxes to the official logos of the parties. I was under the impression that using such images in Userboxes was not allowed, have they changed the rules. Regards Hossens27 11:35, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

  • There is aparently different rules on a users homepage, the images are fair use except on userpages. Thats my understanding, i will change them back. Regards Hossens27 12:37, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism on my userpage

Hello Rob. This little edit you made on my userpage qualifies for vandalism if I am correct. I wouldn't have thought you would've done such a thing, but perhaps you are not as esteemed as I thought you were? Please never do it again. Thank you, and have a nice day. Эйрон Кинни 02:20, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry I accused you. I also apologise. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen again. Эйрон Кинни 23:06, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HELLO

You don't support John Howard (the Koala) I hope. You seem like a reasonable catholic --Comrade Conrad- 14 year old socialist atheist 02:30, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Maths C exam.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Maths C exam.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. BRossow 03:56, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deleting my userboxes

I made the nomination of these because it is not fair to delete American English userboxes for no reason. Someone suggested I nominate these userboxes. The American English Userbox was a strong keep but was deleted anyhow. I reverted your changes to my user page.--Adam (talk) 16:05, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Extensions

Thanks for the support, Rob. Could you please tell others about our continuing struggle against tyranny by admins?

Oh yeah, Dylon has been blocked by Kelly Martin for allegedly causing a disturbance. This is a fabricated lie and is propaganda on her part, I would expect more from her. See her talk page for further information, under "Inflammatory" and the likes. Эйрон Кинни 05:21, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your userpage

Hi...please remove the personal attacks from your userpage. Describing wikipedia's administrators as "fuckwits" is not very nice. Christopher Parham (talk) 09:50, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi you sound pretty cool--Gowiki84 13:33, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

It's his userpage Parham. Stick to your own. A lot that epidemic seems to be going around, I mean, animosity between the good guys and the censors. Эйрон Кинни 18:24, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
I like what you've done to your user namespace. Эйрон Кинни 23:14, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for doing that, I sincerely appreciate any efforts to improve the friendliness of our discourse here. It would also be good if you removed the fair use image as well; use of non-free images in userspace is not permitted by policy. Christopher Parham (talk) 08:11, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia is beginning to hit a soft spot for me. I am increasingly frustrated with it. Maybe we should leave? LOL, the link to Jimbo was "Idiot." Good one. Эйрон Кинни 21:57, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Block of User:Ivan Kricancic

Please unblock him, the only pages he has vandalised are those of myself and a friend of ours, It was only in jest.

Irrelevant. This is not some personal playground of yours. Additionally, if he does not provide any edits to the encyclopedia (you know, the thingee that we are trying to write here), and continues with nonsense contributions and vandalism, then he will simply be permablocked. THIS IS AN ENCYCLOPEDIA. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 21:09, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sister

What exactly is your sister into doing, anyway? I can't imagine what it must be like to not see music in colour, etc! I think LSD might help. I went to see Death Cab play live recently, and they're a really good act! Sergeant Snopake 17/03/06, 14:03

[edit] Australia

Oh, do you not like Australia? It always sounds like a great place apart from the poison! Tell me about the amount of poison in Australia. My family and I were thinking about emigrating there years ago, but then we bought a book on venomous creatures of Australia and, seeing horrors like the Glaucus, we decided against it. So how much does poison integrate into daily life? Do people constantly get bitten by venomous things?

Thanks for your comments on The Postal Service, they're much appreciated!

Oh, and I hope you don't mind me saying this, but your sister sounds like a little bit of a bimbo.

I noticed you called Wikipedia admins fuckwits. They are, aren't they? I spoke out against one once, and he blocked me! Asshole.

Sergeant Snopake 14:59, 17/03/06

Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Robert_McKay"

Thanks for your assurence! Nice talking to you, too. Oh, and I appreciate you're in bed, so don't bother getting back to me or anything! I just wanted to say thanks. Sergeant Snopake 15:24, 17/03/06

[edit] NZLP

It is good that you support the New Zealand Labour Party. It is also good that you don't support the rightwing, redneck admins. Fair call on naming them fuckwits, especially after what they did to comrade, Conrad-14 year old socialist.

[edit] Image tagging

Hi Robz0r. I see that here you removed an unsourced image tag, but I can't see any reasoning behind it. Is there something I'm unaware of? Thanks, CLW 11:46, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Ah, well be careful as some might view that kind of thing as vandalism unless you can

demonstrate that you've actively monitored the situation and tried to do something about it... CLW 12:02, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pets

Hi, it's me again. I was just wondering, have you any pets, or, do you know anyone with any pets? It's just that my family and I were (once again) thinking of moving to Australia, but we have four cats and two dogs. So, do animals ever get bitten by venomous creatures? If so, do they die? Sergeant Snopake 09:49 (BST), 30/03/06

I am so sorry about your dog. How old is it? Two years ago, my cat died of cancer, so I got a dog and then he died of a brain tumor before he was a year old, and so then I got another kitten, and she died of FIP when she was four months old, so I kind of know how you feel. The grief is awful, and you think that it will never go away, but trust me, it does lessen in time. I really am so, so sorry for you. What kind of dog is it? How long have you had it? I'm really sorry.

On the Australia front, I think kind of around Melbourne, though the idea is very vague. Sergeant Snopake 09:30 (UTC), 30/03/06

I'm very sorry if I offended you about your dog. I just wanted you to know that I wasn't just saying that you'd feel better eventually, and that I actually knew what I was talking about. Sergeant Snopake 10:09 (UTC), 30/03/06

Hi, I was just wondering, how's your dog? Did he make it through the night? I hope so. If not, I'm really, really sorry for you. Sergeant Snopake 13:13 (UTC), 31/03/06

Oh, God, I'm so sorry, that's awful. Sergeant Snopake 13:25 (UTC), 31/03/06

Really? Well, there you go. I'm glad you're not too upset. Do you have any older brothers? If you did, you could take pictures of them crying and - no, that would be mean. Sergeant Snopake 13:44, 31/03/06, (UTC)

[edit] Leonard Cohen

Hey, thanks! Yeah, he's a great musician. I see you have a picture of yourself now. Talk about Australia face! You know how you can just tell where people are from, just by the look on their face? Australians are so cool. Sergeant Snopake 11:10, 15/04/06, (UTC)

I was just thinking about how you said that you only wore a jumper for about 10 days last year. I am still wearing a jumper! It was snowing here recently, and because the house was built in the 1730's, all our heating is broken, so it's absolutely freezing over here. Sergeant Snopake (again) 11:27, 15/04/06, (UTC)
Hi, sorry it took so long to reply, but I had to feed my cat, and by the time I was finished my sister had leapt on to the computer, like some kind of spider. Ahem. She's finished now. So, yeah, looking Australian is definately a good thing. Don't soften your accent too much, though, ay? Australian accents are pretty cool.

I'm sorry, I've lost you. Where the hell does 'aye' come in? Or was that just a passing cooment?

Sorry, I mean 'coment'! What am I, Scottish? Oh, laddie, is was just a passing cooment. Though, in reflection, I do have scottish blood. Maybe it was my scottish side coming out. Or maybe, it was just a typo.

Just figured it out; you were refering to my usage of the term 'ay', right? I meant it as in 'eh', rather than aye, but I don't I don't really like using 'eh'. I only put it because I was thinking about Canadian accents - now read the sentance out with a canadian accent in your head, "Don't soften your accent too much, though, ay?". See what I mean?

Ya, good. Uh...why is editing myspace the ultimate waste of time EVER?
Sometimes, I wish I had Australia face.

[edit] Userboxen

Hey, I like what you've done with your userboxes! They look awesome! Sergeant Snopake 09:51, 17/04/06, (UTC)
Ummm...don't feel pressured or anything, but would you mind if I put you on my wikipedia friends list? I'm just trying to build up a basis of allies, that sort of thing, and you seem kind of - wise in the ways of wikipedia.

[edit] Shadow ministry

Rob, thanks for your offer. You're certainly pretty cute, and I will be selecting my frontbench partly on the basis of looks, so you are on the shortlist. But you will have agree to agree with me about absolutely everything before I can appoint you. I will be forming my party, the Wikipedia Whig Party, soon, and announcing my policies, so stay tuned. Adam 13:16, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] First Article

I started my first article today! Have a look, if you're not too busy. Sergeant Snopake, 21:15, 20th of April 2006 (UTC)
I'm so sorry, I was about to put a link to my article when I was informed that we (my family & I) were about to do the jobs to ready ourselves for bed - i.e, put the pets to bed, make our hot water bottles, etc - but good job on finding my article anyway! It's so weird to think that just as Australians are starting their day, the English our finishing theirs!

However, I probably won't be asleep for another 3 or 4 hours. Whatever.
