[edit] Hi!

Hello, this is thunderboltz from LLP. Nice meeting you here. :) About the logging out problem, as I said, I think you should contact the Village Pump. And if you have any queries, just click here to leave me a message; or add {{helpme}} to this page, and someone will get to you in a flash. Cheers, and happy editting! -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK09:27, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

I looked at the Village Pump and didn't see a solution to my problem.
Now it's doing the logout problem more. I go to a new page at times, and it says I'm logged out! I usually just go back to the page I was logged in at, and click the link again...and it usually works. I know my cookies and internet settings are set, so I'm constantly logged in at sites (unless I personally logout, which I haven't done). RobJ1981 17:33, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like an issue with cookies and session handling. Have you tried actually asking your question at the village pump? You can post a new message by clicking here. Cheers, Tangotango 17:47, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deleting a page?

[1]

[2]

I couldn't find information on deleting?

The first link has much more information, but either way... they are about the same thing. So I would think the second page needs to just be removed from Wiki overall. Any help would be appreciated.

If the two articles are similar, but not identical, you could merge them, and set the one you don't want to keep as a redirect. --JD[don't talk|email] 22:09, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

You can pick out one of these tags and insert it at the top of either page. --Pilotguy (roger that) 22:12, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

The fifth one down I think is what you want. --Pilotguy (roger that) 22:13, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WWE Alumni

I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate the work you've put into that page, it looks much better. I was thinking that maybe the intro sentence should be changed to reflect things better. Saying "This is a list of professional wrestlers, managers and other workers that were employed in World Wrestling Entertainment", maybe should be modified to something about being on air. I did remove a few behind the scenes guys (in the S section) and I'm not sure if I should have done that. Again, thanks. --Burgwerworldz 21:41, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

When you get a chance, do you think Ron Waterman should be on the list? He appeared to wrestle maybe 50 matches in house shows around 2001-2, but I don't think he was ever on television. That's sort of a headscratcher.--Burgwerworldz 21:51, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
I removed Ron, appearing just on house shows isn't that notable really. As for the behind the scenes guys, they aren't alumni in my opinion. RobJ1981 04:16, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] ROMs

What are ROMs and why are they illegal, please? If the article presents a lgeal risk for WP, you should bring it up on WP:AN so we can zap it outright, instead of prod... - CrazyRussian talk/email 13:58, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PROD on categories

Hello, I think you should be made aware that PROD does not handle categories. You need to use WP:CFD to delete categories as there are special handling requirements for categories. (This is also why PROD does not handle redirects) 132.205.93.88 01:35, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WrestleMania X8

Could you please help summarize this [3]? I keep telling him it's full of grammar errors, weasel words, and peacock terms, yet he still keeps adding it. If you could help me summarize the match to be consistent with other matches in the article I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.--3bulletproof16 21:43, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

TheTruth2 has been reported. If you would like to leave a comment concerning the situation please do so here. I find it strange that when he is referred to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling show formatting or any other guideline for that matter, he claims that he has already read them and that his edits "still follows the guidelines". Signed up just 3 days ago... Yep TJ Spyke and I are dealing with a troll here.--3bulletproof16 22:02, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit War going on, that needs to be dealt with

It's going on here: [4]. A person is being pretty immature about something minor: comedy relief. When someone changes it, he reverts it back and claims it should be there. The problem is, the person just won't realize it's not very notable and shouldn't be on the page. People at the talk page have tried to talk to him and compromise, but it really hasn't helped much. He just won't listen! It's very frustrating.

Wikipedia:Resolving disputes deals with this.--Commander Keane 17:39, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the encouragement. As the time of day when Basique's watch list nonsense blew my mind will indicate, I had been up all night (which is not normal for me) at the time, so maybe I was too tired when I stumbled across that watch list which he didn't even bother to tell me about. But wow, that's ridiculous. I can see how one thing I did might have rubbed him the wrong, he overreacted, and I'm happy to leave it at that. Again, thanks for your post on my talk page. I appreciated it. Take care. Doczilla 02:02, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Benjamin "Ben" Holladay

I've reversed my original decision to delete this page, as there seems to be a fair notability claim in the article for the subject as a railroad tycoon. If you still feel the article fails Wikipedia notability standards, feel free to start a regular AfD. Thanks. theProject 21:55, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Multiple endings

Someone suggested creating subcategories, what do you think? Some genres (eg Dating Sim and RTS and to a lesser extent computer RPGs) often inherently have multiple endings. -- Solberg 23:21, 15 August 2006 (UTC)Solberg

[edit] Articles for Deletion

Hi, next time that you want to nominate a page for deletion, please carefully follow the steps liested at WP:AFD. You tried to nominate one yesterday but didn't follow the right steps and the nomination sort of got lost, until an anon tried to remove the nomination. Anyway, it's fixed now. Let me know if you have any questions! --JoanneB 13:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Rob you're listing articles for deletion again without doing all the steps, follow WP:AFD otherwise no one will see it and it can't be voted upon. --- Lid 22:42, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PSP Discussion

I'm sorry about what i called that guy. I guess I was in the heat of the moment, ya know?--Ideal4real 01:22, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mediation Cabal Case

Good evening/morning/afternoon.

You're named as the requestor in Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-08-16/Problems with user Basique. I've made a cursory review of the facts at hand and was wondering if you'd be willing to share your story on the issue. Please go to the case page and provide a brief, 500 word or less statement on the issues at play in the section marked "RobJ's statement". CQJ 04:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category help

  • I created this: [[5]]. When I put the category at the bottom of Ed O'Neill's page, it appeared as a red link. What did I do wrong? I've added categories to bottom of pages before, so I think it might be the category page I created. RobJ1981 04:55, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Note the extra underscore/space in Category:Married..._with_Children_actors while Ed_O'Neill has the category Category:Married...with Children actors. I suggest you move the content on the category page and have the old category page deleted. --Swift 05:06, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Articles for Deletion

Why have you been listing perfectly good articles up for deletion? Clay4president 02:25, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SummerSlam (2006)

That is what we usually do with PPV's. Once it starts that section is just retitled to Results. TJ Spyke 00:43, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
