  • Often takes ideas from other works and inserts a "WHAT IF" storyline. (WHAT IF Superman had a son, for Invincible is a good example of this).
  • Frequently instructs artists to copy and paste existing panels for creative effect.

I don't find either item to be a fair statement. The copy/paste thing is hardly unique to Kirkman (it's the comics equivalent of a double-take), it's something that he's poked fun at himself (in an early Invincible issue), and it's not as prevalent in his work as the article implies. And the "What If" item is extremely reductionist. Maybe if you'd only read Invincible and Marvel Zombies you could get that impression, but even Invincible is much more than that, and he's written plenty of other stuff too.
