Roberto Musacchio

Roberto Musacchio (born on 3 September 1956 in Miami, United States) is an Italian politician and Member of the European Parliament for the North-East with the Partito della Rifondazione Comunista (PRC), Member of the Bureau of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.
He is a substitute for the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, a member of the Delegation for relations with the countries of south-east Europe and a substitute for the Delegation for relations with Australia and New Zealand.

He obtained a secondary school-leaving certificate in classical subjects (1975).
A former member of the national executive of the party of Partito di Unità Proletaria (PdUP), and then of the Italian Communist Party (national official responsible for the environment department and member of the national political committee), he became a member of the national party executive of the PRC (national official responsible for the environment and member of the national executive).
