Roberto Delgado is the pseudonym for German musician Horst Wende. Wende made many popular instrumental recodings of Latin and world music from the 1950s to the 1980s using this pseudonym. Delgado's albums were recorded in Hamburg, Germany for the Polydor label, and were in the same general big-band pop format as labelmates Bert Kaempfert and James Last. In fact, many of the Delgado musicians also recorded for Kaempfert and Last.
