Roberto Brandwayn

Roberto Brandwayn is an artist. He was born in Bogotá in 1972. After graduating from high school in The Hebrew School in Bogotá, he continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Roberto also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, returning to Colombia in 1998.
He has exhibited in many of the major galleries in the Andean region, and is recognised as one of the brightest lights among the younger generation of Latin American neo-figurative artists. "Matador Playing Pool", the title of which was inspired by Cormac Ross, has been widely feted as as a ground-breaking work of surrealistic, understated humour. Currently working on a new collection of multi-dimensional artwork titled "Shadows of the Unmet".
